Family environment, great food, great staff, they definitely deserve 5 starts. I met the manager, Cindy so adorable and friendly. Moe, the owner was also a nice lady that took her time to go to the table and have a nice conversation with us. 💕💕 And it’s a pet friendly!!!
We stopped in yesterday for lunch with a group of six of us. For context, we’re currently on a 16,000 mile tour across the U.S. Over the last six months we’ve been through 42 states and we’re about 15,000 miles into the trip so far. That means we’ve eaten at a lot of restaurants across the country. This place was one of the best experiences I can remember. We walked into 1882 Grill right around lunchtime. It wasn’t super busy but we were seated immediately. Drinks came out fast and the wait staff was dialed in from the start. Our server knew the menu inside and out, answered all our questions, made real recommendations, and actually gave honest opinions about what was good instead of the usual “everything is great” answer you get in a lot of places. Then the food started showing up. For starters my friends ordered poutine, which I had never tried before. Fries with gravy and cheese curds. One fry later and I immediately had to order some myself. Absolutely fantastic. I ordered the French dip and it was way better than just “good.” Someone else at the table ordered the Cuban pizza which sounds weird on paper but it was epic. A couple of the kids ordered steak bites and they were fantastic too. Even the kids meal came with real macaroni and cheese, not the blue box stuff. Honestly some of the best food we’ve had on the entire trip. And that’s saying something after 15,000 miles of eating all over the country. Every bite was one of those “oh my god this is awesome” moments. The service matched the food too. Perfect level of attentiveness without being annoying. They were always there when you needed them but never hovering. Real personality too, not the robotic service you sometimes get. And the price surprised us. For my daughter and I the bill was about $45 for extremely good food and fantastic service. We visited for the first time on Saturday. There were no indoor seats available so we sat on the patio under a heater. A very kind woman (she was not our server) came to our table and offered us blankets because it was cool out. I am not one to turn down a blanket so of course I said yes! Not only did she bring a blanket, but she wrapped it around my shoulders and untucked my hair trapped under the blanket. It was top-notch better than expected service. The food was great too, especially the Mac and cheese. We will definitely be back!

Cheyanne was our server Friday night, and she was AMAZING!! Very sweet and funny, she was attentive to our table and made us laugh quite a bit! Mya also came by, another server, and was very sweet and helpful!! Food was so good, we ordered the bread for 2, the Mo’s smash burger, and the fish and chips (replaced the chips with chowder). We enjoyed the food a lot and the portions were plentiful, we ended up taking home boxes!! For the price, really good food and the great service made the experience one of our favorites. We will be returning soon!! Only thing is ask for sauces, lemon, etc.!! (Ranch, tartar, bbq, etc.)
Parking is on the street or in one of the public lots a few blocks away. We easily found parking and walked. We had a reservation and we're seated right away. Service matched our party with 6 people- it was relaxed but attentive. The food was just delicious, the flavors really exploded in your mouth. This is the second time that we've been here and the first time was good so obviously we came back. The reason I'm writing this review now is because of how wonderful they treated us on this particular trip. (wonderfully? Ew, sounds wrong either way. English is rough y'all.) It was raining on this day and we knew that there was a covered outdoor, heated patio at 1882 that we could bring our dogs to. One of our dogs is a service dog and he's absolutely wonderful around other people and inside of restaurants. We weren't sure how our other little guy was going to do on his first trip to a restaurant. Long story short, 1882 grille was so wonderful to our pups bringing them bowls of water and plates of whipped cream which they greatly enjoy. Our food was wonderful per usual and we'll definitely be back again. Here are some pictures of the pups!
